A Burley Manor Wedding with a Bride in Jesus Peiro Separates – With Pockets!

Ideas

This beautiful modern wedding features the bridal designs of one of my favourite international bridal fashion brands, the incomparable Jesus Peiro,

Couple Yasmin and James tied the knot on the 9th October 2019 at Burley Manor in The New Forest, Hampshire. I love the sweet and laidback vibes of this day – and honestly, that choice of separates, rather than a dress, couldn’t have been more perfect for this lovely bride.

Yasmin hire the services of professional hair stylist Jeni Worsfold and make-up Artist Tara Sanger. She wore a simple braid in her hair.

When it came to a wedding day scent, Yasmin opted for L’Intredet by Givenchy.

“I wanted something feminine, yet dark and woody.  loved how floral and sweet it is, with the darker notes of patchouli.”

Yasmin wore the most beautiful, flattering, contemporary bridal separates by Spanish brand, Jesus Peirl (style ‘900’) – a discovery she made via Anna Bridal Couture

“Anna from Anna Bridal was incredible. I went into her boutique convinced that I hated all wedding dresses and was terrified at the thought of being a bride.”

“When I arrived, I was blown away with how warm and kind she was. Her one-on-one consultation experience made me feel so relaxed and comfortable.”

“She wanted to know more than just what style wedding dress I was looking for and asked lots of questions to get a full picture of how I hoped our wedding day would look.”

“Her attention to detail was incredible during my fittings and I honestly wish I could do it all over again.”

“I loved that my dress was a two-piece! I knew early on that I liked the idea of wearing separates. The dotty taffeta fabric is what drew me to it and I adored the big statement bows on the shoulders. Plus… it had POCKETS!”

A pair of beautiful Christian Louboutin, heels, the ‘Pigalle Follies in white glitter‘ design, completed Yasmin’s modern, contemporary fashion vibe.

Yasmin’s bridesmaids wore gorgeous sequin and tulle gowns by Maya, via Maya, via ASOS.

“We knew from the start we did not want a colour scheme and wanted to keep it as simple and natural as possible.”

“We went for lots of lush green foliage and simple white and cream flowers for that lovely pop in contrast which perfectly complimented our style of venue. Our florist was Hillview Flowers.”

Yasmin’s father Greg accompanied her down the aisle, to the sound of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, ‘The Ship Song’.

The couple had “I Wanna Be Yours” by John Cooper Clarke as their reading.

“James and I chose to purchase our rings from the shop that made my beautiful bespoke Engagement ring – WHY Jewellers. We went for simple plain bands.”

“James and I both worked for a local theatre venue and met in passing – James held the door open for me and introduced himself, and the rest is history.”

We got engaged in November 2018 in New York. He proposed in a beautiful, secluded area on a freezing cold day in Central Park by the lake.”

“Both James and I hate having our photos taken, so we knew we needed to find someone with an alternative and more candid style that we knew we could get along with. Jason’s relaxed style really jumped out at us.”

“Before the big day the thought of having planned and posed portrait photos was something we thought we would dread- however it ended up being one of the most enjoyable parts of the day.”

“He made us feel so relaxed, it was like having a laugh and being silly with a mate. And somehow he managed to make us look cool?!”

“My incredible leather jacket, hand painted by one of my best friends Chloe.”

he House of Styling set up and provided us with the most incredible lighting and table décor. We went for gold, greens and whites with lots of candles and foliage throughout.”

“Our wedding favours doubled up as place names. We sourced succulents from a local plant business and bought mini galvanised buckets to use as pots. We decided to go for handwritten name tags on recycled card and tied these to the handles of the pots with twine.”

“Both James and I are vegetarian and loved the thought of going for something a bit different. Lucie of Lucie Loves to Bake bakes exclusively Vegan cakes inspired by nature.”

“We went for a very simple semi-naked three tiered cake, which was decorated beautifully with real flowers and foliage from our florist. The flavours we went for were Lotus Biscoff, Lemon and Poppyseed and Coconut and Lime.”

“Our guests were blown away with the taste of the cake and we loved being about to show off the fact it was totally dairy-free (much to everyone’s surprise!)”

The couple took their first dance to ‘Angels”, by The XX.

“We wanted something that we loved, but that was as short and sweet as possible.”

Words of Wedded Wisdom

“Weirdly enough one of my favourite parts of the day was James helping me with my dress to the bathroom! Your wedding day can be so overwhelmingly busy and it’s easy to get caught up with other people and not actually spend much time with your new husband/wife! So being able catch up and cuddle whilst he helped me with my dress was lovely.”

“When you trust every one of your suppliers you have NOTHING to worry about- don’t sweat the small stuff!”

“Our wonderful suppliers made us appreciate how much planning and care goes into a wedding! Having such talented and dedicated people involved in our big day really took much of the stress away.”

“Cater for less food in the evening. People aren’t interested in food if you’ve got an open bar!”

“Our original budget was £15,000 and went ended up coming in close to £18,000”
