If you’re looking for a dramatic setting for your wedding venue, then look no further than The Atlantic Hotel, says Richard Webber.
On Jersey’s spectacular southwest coast, the Art Deco-styled Atlantic Hotel sits amid six acres of beautiful grounds, overlooking the golden sands of St Ouen’s Bay and the ocean rollers.
This attractive hotel, a member of the elite Small Luxury Hotels of the World, provides a stunning backdrop for any wedding and with the recent relaxation on outdoor ceremonies on Jersey, it provides the perfect open-air venue.
The family-owned Atlantic Hotel, licensed to host civil ceremonies, offers a choice of packages; and thanks to the hotel’s events team and their extensive network of experts, every aspect of your wedding can be catered for, including the cake, entertainment and floral display.
Weddings Ceremonies at The Atlantic Hotel

For outside weddings, there is a choice of sites within the grounds with function rooms reserved as a back-up in case of inclement weather.
The Tasting Room is perfect for more intimate occasions with up to 20 guests. For larger parties up to 80, the Ocean Restaurant with its muted colours, splashes of aquamarine and white shutters framing beautiful views exudes a tranquil Mediterranean vibe.

Exploring Jersey
Jersey is brimming over with attractions, including historical monuments, walking trails, pretty villages, museums and, of course, wonderful beaches. And it’s easily reached, thanks to regular flights and a year-round ferry service from Poole and Portsmouth, operated by Condor Ferries. While the company’s fast ferry operates out of Poole, a conventional ferry sails from Portsmouth.
Being the largest and southernmost of the Channel Islands, Jersey promotes itself as the “warmest place in the British Isles” – ideal with so many beaches to explore. Everyone has their favourite: ours is Grève de Lecq on the north coast because its golden sands are easily accessible and there are parking opportunities close by. The beach is sheltered – unless a northerly wind is blowing – and is popular with holidaymakers and locals alike.

With the island measuring just nine miles by five, nowhere is far away. All the island has to offer – and that’s plenty – is easily reached from The Atlantic Hotel. It’s close enough to everything you’ll ever need in terms of entertainment or sightseeing – including nine-acre Jersey Lavender Farm and Durrell Wildlife Park – yet far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.
