Kent based wedding photographer Sammy collaborated with fellow Kent based bridal boutique owner Cara of Story Of My Dress to create these beautiful images that blend a sense of modern, contemporary bridal cool with Chiddingstone Castle providing a romantic backdrop.
“The inspiration behind this entire shoot for me was simply ‘romance’. I had been invited to Chiddingstone Castle back in early 2020 and had made some wonderful plans to organise a bridal styled photo shoot. Obviously, due to COVID-19, everything was sadly postponed. However, given that the castle was such a beautiful venue I couldn’t resist returning recently to capture the venue’s unique setting.”

“The venue itself is full of stunning history, and quite eclectic decor. To me, when I walked around looking at the stunning windows/dreamy lighting – alongside the historic setting, it was easy to curate a shoot that offered soft light and romantic vibes.”
“That led me to contact Story of My Dress and ask her if she had any gowns to fit the mood. She donated some really beautiful gowns for the shoot (even one that she designed herself!) and then plans just kept evolving from there.”
“Storme Makeup & Hair is well known for her romantic/soft styling so she was just perfect for the job. As you can see, the hair and makeup styles were indeed, super romantic! Her bride model Lauren Pascolutti was an absolute dream to work with.”
“Lastly, the finishing touches came from adding a beautiful soft bouquet designed by Cacti & Wildflower that was just so elegant. The tones & textures of the florals were a perfect addition and complimented the entire shoot.”
“As were the shoes and accessories from the fabulous Studio By Charrlotte.”
“This shoot for me was what I like to call a ‘micro shoot’. It was very simply put together with a small, yet wonderful team of suppliers and I am just delighted with the outcome.”
